There is a lot of additional flexibility having this option. The Champ model sounds great hooked up this way too, even though it's obviously much more paper than a Champ uses.

it seemed to have little I could not already achieve with the 20. Even cranked at a fairly high volume I felt like I was playing through a much lower wattage amp. My impressions were that it lacked the beef and power one would expect from a 100 watt amp. If I were still playing out, It'd be worth it to me to drag the Peavey SC 212 along to the gig, even at low volume. Because I liked the 20 I tried the Champion 100 as a possible upgrade to a gigging amp.

Put the cabs next to each other and the tone and fullness of the sound is like a Twin with an extra 12. The univibe modulations, reverbs, delays, chorus, etc gives the sound a nice panning stereo quality. I can separate both combos as close or as far in the room as I like. The volumes set up this way allows you to blend both volumes of the combos the way you like.įor example, I like running a Twin setting through the Mustang III hooked up to a Peavey Stereo Chorus 2x12, that has those very efficient Scorpion speakers. All your settings and effects are now going through both amps. The Master volume controls the volume on ONLY the Mustang and the regular "Volume" knob runs ONLY the volume on other combo. (I've only tried it with another combo with the Power Amp IN jack, but I've heard it works on some amps with the FX Return) The Return on the Mustang doesn't need anything plugged in. Run a guitar cord from the FX SEND out jack on the back of the Mustang to another combo that has a "Power amp IN" jack, or possibly the FX Return.
